Since most dogs and cats are able to reproduce by 6 months of age, it is recommended that they have surgery between 3 and 4 months of age, possibly as early as 2 months of age.

The clinic does not provide full-service or follow-up veterinary care. If you do not have a regular vet, we can provide a list of qualified veterinarians in your area.

Vaccinations

For cats: Feline Distemper (FVRCP), Rabies, Feline Leukemia
For dogs: Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP), Rabies, Kennel Cough
$10 each

Dogs and cats 4 months of age and older that do not have a current rabies vaccination are required by law to receive one. This and other vaccinations (distemper, parvo, feline leukemia, and kennel cough) are offered only at the time of service.

Supplemental Pain Medication

All animals receive pain medication at the time of surgery. This is a supplemental injection that will last an additional 24 hours.

Transport Van

Our transport van travels to the outer-lying communities within our region, meets with the area coordinators, loads the van with animals and transports them to our clinic for surgery. Visit our Transportation page to learn more about transport services.
